GYMNASTICS CONSULTING

Gymnastics & Young Athletes Consulting

Gymnastics is one of the most challenging sports both mentally and physically. Typically starting at a young age, children have to dedicate an inordinate amount of time training if they want to succeed as a competitive gymnast. I grew up in the sport from the time I was seven years old and eventually became an Elite gymnast which is the highest realm of competition. By the time I entered high school, I was training well over 30 hours a week. Following my high school career, I went on to compete for a Division I
gymnastics program on a full athletic scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My career as a young female gymnast gives me all the prerequisite starting blocks for what has become my passion and business.

As mentioned previously, I had a lot of injuries from gymnastics. In addition to that, I went through mental blocks, fear, OCD and other issues that are prevalent in the sport. As a parent you want to help your kids and give them the best but sometimes you don’t know how to do that. As a coach I try to express to parents that the best thing you can do for your kids is be their cheerleader. But that can be hard when you see your child struggling. What if you had someone you could turn to for advice much like you might do with a boss or doctor? Together with my extensive professional experience in competitive gymnastics and integrated personal training, there are so many ways in which my counsel and coaching can provide comprehensive services and mentorship to meet the individual needs of young athletes. I will focus on exercises that will help in injury prevention, provide personalized strength techniques, and ultimately help cultivate the confidence necessary to help each child achieve their desired level of competition.
